The Honorable Marilyn Kirkpatrick | Initial Appointment: 2016 Clark County Commissioner Marilyn Kirkpatrick is a native Nevadan who grew up in Clark County. She was appointed to the Clark County Commission in August 2015. Prior to that appointment, she served as an assemblywoman in the Nevada legislature for 11 years and assembly speaker from 2013-2015. Kirkpatrick's commitment to community service includes serving as both a planning commissioner for the City of North Las Vegas and as a member of the North Las Vegas Design Committee for Library Development. She has sponsored activities for underprivileged students, and coordinated volunteers for the Community Partners Clean Up Our Neighborhood program. Kirkpatrick graduated from Western High School and attended Krolack Business School and the Community College of Southern Nevada. She and her husband Michael have six children and six grandchildren. |
